Join us for a fun and creative class cooking the cuisine of INDIA!
Visiting Chef Nari Soundarrajan will walk us through a discussion on technique, flavor release of spices, grandma's tips, and key differences in North and South cooking.
Menu will be based around Flavored Rices, Curries of the North
& South, use of the indigenous legumes and staple vegetables of the Indian diet.
Class will be approximately 3 hours
(including time to gather and enjoy a taste of your work).
Class hours: 2:00 -5:00 pm.

No cooking experience necessary.
Confident cooking isn't about recipes— but more about techniques. In our classes you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our instructors.
We provide the fresh foods, aprons, recipes, equipped kitchen and instruction- you are welcome to bring your beverage of choice. Together we make some terrific foods!
Menus are seasonally inspired and locally source whenever possible.
Space is limited. Tickets are sold in advance only, and are not available at the door.
Things To Know About Our Classes
All classes are for students age 18 or over, unless noted.
Classes are hands-on - to enable all participants to cook.
You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class.
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back (men & women).
You will enjoy a generous taste of each item prepared
Classes are limited (8-10 students). and last from 2.5 hours unless otherwise noted.
Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable to future UNCork events or persons-as long as you cancel 24 hours before the event.
Net proceeds will benefit the Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia (www.accawv.org).
Participation in a hands-on class places you in a typical cooking environment with inherent risk. By registering for a cooking event you agree to release the staff, employees and contractors, from all liability arising from direct or indirect damages or injury.
